Turkey’s Denim Rise will invest USD 8.8 mn to set up a manufacturing hub for ready-made garments in Egypt’s Qantara West Industrial Zone, according to a statement. The factory will cover 27k sqm and will earmark 70% of its production for export. The project’s foundation stone is expected to be laid soon, with the company targeting a 2H 2025 opening.

Turkey 💙 Qantara: This marks the fourth Turkish project to land in Qantara, with Turkish clothing manufacturer Eroglu Holding breaking ground on a USD 51 mn garments factory in the Qantara West Industrial Zone back in November. Turkey’s DNM Textile received approval to move forward with a USD 40 mn denim factory in Qantara West Industrial Zone back in April. Turkey’s Jade Textile signed a framework agreement for a USD 30 mn ready-made garments unit for a larger factory that will also house a USD 35 mn dyeing unit back in January.

Qantara is an attractive zone: Qantara’s first phase has greenlight nine projects with total investments nearly worth USD 317.8 mn. The zone — which spans 777k sqm — aims to provide almost 15.2k job windows.
